What does it cost to be a Rotary member?

The classification system ensures the club represents a diverse cross-section of the community. Clubs generally limit membership in any single classification to five members (or 10% in larger clubs) to maintain diversity.
What happens if I travel or live seasonally?

Rotary's global network is one of its greatest advantages for travelers. Members can attend meetings at any Rotary club in the world β each visit counts as a valid make-up. If you are outside your country for extended periods, attendance at clubs in that country counts fully. The board can also approve excused absences for good cause.
Can I be a member if I hold public office?

Per the Rotary Club Constitution, persons elected or appointed to public office for a specified period are not eligible for active membership under the classification of that office. However, existing members who are elected or appointed to public office may continue their membership in their existing classification. Exceptions apply to educators and judiciary positions.
What is the Paul Harris Fellow program?

The Paul Harris Fellow recognition is awarded by The Rotary Foundation to individuals who contribute $1,000 (cumulative or at once) to the Foundation. Is there a Rotary District 7770 assembly I should attend?

Yes. The Rotary Assembly 2026 takes place in Orlando, Florida from January 11β15, 2026 and is the premier training and networking event for District 7770 Rotarians. The club's president-elect is expected to attend the Presidents-Elect Training Seminar (PETS) as a requirement for taking office. Founding members are strongly encouraged to participate in district events to build relationships and deepen their Rotary knowledge.
